Zack and Sara’s fall wedding at The Cable Center was the perfect mixture of modern and classic.
Sara and Zack had a beautiful fall wedding here at The Cable Center. Late October is a gorgeous time of year in Denver. The grass is still green, the leave are changing colors (this happens much sooner at altitude in the mountains), and the afternoons are warm and pleasant for outdoor ceremonies. This describes Sara and Zack’s wedding to T, in other words, it was perfect. Keep reading for all of the details from their special day.
Beautiful white florals accented by the fall colors made a fresh and warm color palette for Zack and Sara’s wedding day. The tablescapes were set on a black backdrop, which meant the neutral centerpieces really popped. This same palette was reflected in the black bridesmaids’ attire and their bouquets donned black and white anemones. The overall look was a modern take on classic black and white. Sara’s bridesmaids were so sweet, kind and fun. You can really feel the love between them all in these photos.
The bride and groom shared a sweet First Look moment on the Mezzanine, our favorite spot for first looks by far. It’s the picture-perfect location that feels grand yet intimate. The scaling windows let the light pour in and makes the moment magical. Zack was just smitten by his bride and we can tell why… Sara was so elegant, just floating down the Mezzanine towards the love of her life.
Speaking of First Looks…let’s have a moment to swoon over the bride’s First Look with her groomsmen AKA her ultimate hype team. We love this idea so much that we want to start suggesting this for all our brides!
Talk about pumping you up to walk down the aisle!
Before the ceremony, the bride and groom surrounded by their closet friends and family members, singed the Ketubah. The Ketubah was a custom, hand painted work of art.
The wedding ceremony took place over in our Rogers Amphitheater. Tucked around the corner from our Great Hall, couples choose this area for ceremonies because it is private, outdoors, but still right on-site. Fall leaves provided warm colors around the 200 guests and a Chuppah draped in white and accented with gorgeous florals was the focal point on the stage.
After a lovely ceremony and visiting with friends and family, the newlyweds made their way inside to the Great Hall. Cocktail hour, dinner, dancing, and a grand exit wrapped up their perfect day.
Congratulations Sara and Zack! We wish you all the happiness in the world and are thrilled that we got to be a part of your special day.
We’re taking a stroll down memory lane and taking a look at the past year… in photos! We have hosted many events (175 to be exact!) and met many amazing clients. Here are just a few! As we ring in the new year, we like to look back with gratitude and look ahead with excitement. So consider this a toast to 2022 and also a warm welcome to 2023! Happy New Year!
This time of year is all about the leveled-up tablescape! We’re talking about your Christmas and New Years tables that bring the holiday magic into your home along with the people you love. It’s a festive time of year that is marked by families and friends gathering and sharing meals & good cheer around a beautifully set table.
We recently hosted a styled shoot that brought together some of our favorite and talented vendor partners. Megan of Flint and Pearl designed the stunning floral centerpieces. She took inspiration from whimsical and colorful interpretations of the holidays. Our preferred vendor for event rentals, Event Rents, provided the beautiful table settings from luxurious napkins to sparkling glassware. And finally, Ashley of Gather and Abide Photography captured it all flawlessly.
Keep scrolling to read our top 5 ways to ensure your holiday tablescape is merry and bright.
Luxurious Linens
The tablecloth and napkins are the canvas and foundation from which to build your tablescape and thus set the tone for your holiday table. Luxurious textures like velvet or satin instantly add a wintery and elevated mood. It’s sophisticated and feels extra special to have these luxurious fabrics at the table. On the other hand, a crisp white tablecloth will also do the job and have the feel of a 5-star dining experience that will make everyone feel fancy!
Cozy Candles
There’s no better way to add warmth to your table then to set the mood with a flickering flame. It instantly adds that cozy vibe but in an elevated way. Tapered candles are extra elegant, but tea lights and votives are simple and sweet, plus you can see the other guests across the table. We also love enclosing a candle in a lantern. It adds a warm glow and illumination that feels really special with a touch of romance.
Lush + Layered Florals
No tablescape is complete without a gorgeous centerpiece! And of course we’re all about the blooms. Lush, textural, layered…these elements are key in creating a floral design that feels “holiday” along with lavish. There are two color approaches: moody and rich colors have a winter and cozy feel (especially when incorporating berries or greenery with the jewel tones) OR soft, light colors create that classic, elegant, evening feel.
Gold Accents
Mixing metals is trending now, and gold is your ticket to ultimate holiday elegance. Gold accents work for Christmas and NYE by instantly adding that shimmer and shine that is merry and bright! You can incorporate gold in the flatware, chargers, or glassware detailing …. just a touch of gold goes a long way in the glam factor and will add that special something to your holiday table.
Sparkling Glassware
Speaking of shimmer and shine, last but not least on our list of ideas is stemmed glassware. Water goblets, wine glasses, and champagne flutes level-up a table to new heights. Glassware makes your table feel more formal, and this is definitely the feel you want for your holiday tablescape and this special occasion. These glasses not only add height to the table, but the dimension and sparkle is stunningly beautiful. Plus, it makes the Christmas or NYE toast possible and that’s what the holiday tablescape is ultimately all about – family and friends toasting, celebrating, and making memories.
So with that, CHEERS to a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
We hope your holiday table is stunning, but most importantly, we hope it’s surrounded by those you love and care about.
