Do I need to make an appointment for a tour?
Please contact our Events Team to schedule a tour. To book a tour, visit cablecenterevents.org/tour.
Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Do you require an Event Planner?
Yes. A licensed and professional day-of event planner is required for all social events and must be provided by the client. This is separate from The Cable Center’s day-of building coordinators.
Do I have to use one of The Cable Center’s preferred caterers?
The Cable Center has a robust list of preferred caterers on our website.
What is allowed for bar service?
Peak Beverage is our exclusive bar service provider. Since every event is unique, please contact our Events Team to determine your bar needs and exceptions.

How long will I have use of the space I reserve? Is there an overtime fee?
Rental includes an eight hour time block to accommodate event setup and teardown. Additional rental hours can be purchased, if needed. All events must end by 12:00am and can begin as early as 7:00am.
Does The Cable Center include any event furniture in the rental?
Included in your rental is the use of 35 five-foot rounds, 350 white padded chairs, 12 cocktail tables, and 10 six-foot banquet tables, to be used indoors. Our board rooms, Malone Theater, and other event spaces come with preset furniture. Any additional furniture rentals can be rented from our exclusive rental company, Event Rents.
Who is responsible for the setup of event furniture?
Your chosen caterer will be responsible for the setup and teardown of the event furniture. With the exception of the Daniels Great Hall and Mezzanine, other event spaces are preset configurations. If you want different setups, either your caterer can set the rooms or The Cable Center will outsource assistance at an additional charge.
When are the rental deposit and venue rental fees due?
The signed rental agreement, along with 50% of the rental fee, is due seven days after the agreement is sent. Full venue rental fee is due 75 days prior to your event.
Do I need special insurance for my event?
Specific requirements will be outlined in the event agreement
Do you provide in-house AV services?
Our team of in-house audio/visual specialists can provide full production packages from a small meeting with screen and projector, up to a full production event with sound, lights, live streams, and video service.
Is security required?
Events that take place outside of our normal business hours of Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 5:00pm and any events with bar service require security. Security is scheduled 30 minutes prior to bar service start time until the end of the contract time. Off-duty Denver police officers are scheduled at the client’s expense.
How does parking work at The Cable Center?
We offer reserved parking through the University of Denver for $12 per space, depending on lot availability. Valet parking and parking attendants are also available through our contracted and preferred vendor, Jay’s Valet. Pricing for all parking arrangements is dependent on your event rental package and/or your event parking needs. If you wish to use public transportation, The Cable Center is conveniently located across the street from the University of Denver Light Rail.
